7. Vertical Standing Pop-Up Pouch
A standing pouch doubles as an upright desktop pen cup when opened. Cut two wide rectangular panels and a circular or oval felt base piece. Sew the side seams of the two panels together to form an open cylinder, then pin and stitch the circular piece into the bottom opening. Add a drawstring casing along the top edge using a ribbon or cord. When loosened and folded downward at the cuff, the pouch stands upright on any flat desk surface.
