2. Minimalist Button-and-Cord Wrap
This design relies on tactile elegance rather than complex hardware. Cut a rectangle measuring 8 by 12 inches. Fold the bottom upward by 5 inches to create the pouch pocket. Stitch down both side margins using a contrasting thread color. Sew a flat wooden or horn button onto the center of the pocket front. To close, attach a 12-inch length of leather cord or waxed cotton string beneath the flap; wrap the cord around the button several times to secure the contents.
