3. Top-Zipper Flat Pouch
Installing a zipper on woven fabric can be tricky, but felt makes the process straightforward. Cut two matching rectangles measuring 4 by 8.5 inches. Sandwich a 7-inch nylon zipper face-down along the top edge of the first felt panel, pin it in place, and sew with a standard straight stitch. Repeat with the second felt panel on the opposite side of the zipper tape. Open the zipper halfway, align the two felt pieces right sides together, and sew around the remaining three sides.
