1. The Classic Envelope Sleeve
The envelope pouch is the simplest project for absolute beginners. Cut a single long strip of felt measuring roughly 8 inches wide by 18 inches long. Fold the bottom third up to form the main pocket, leaving the top third to fold downward as a triangular or curved flap. Stitch along the left and right sides using a simple running stitch or backstitch. Attach a metal sew-on snap or a small square of hook-and-loop tape beneath the flap point to keep your pens securely inside.
