5. Decoupage Floral Paperweights
Decoupage transforms plain stones into vintage-inspired art pieces using patterned paper napkins, tissue paper, or botanical prints.
- Technique: Paint the rock with a crisp white base coat. Separate the top printed ply of a decorative floral paper napkin from its white backing layers. Tear or cut the design out roughly to match the rock’s contour. Brush a thin layer of Mod Podge onto the stone, gently lay the delicate paper on top, and smooth out air bubbles with a soft brush. Seal with two additional topcoats of Mod Podge.
- Best Use: Heavy, functional desk paperweights and decorative tabletop accessories.
